President Robert Mugabe’s Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) has taken to Twitter to issue threats to voters in the country’s elections, thanking their followers and slamming South Africa.
ZANU-PF has been very active on Twitter during the course of today’s elections in Zimbabwe and began tweeting since early this morning.
However, it is important to note both twitter accounts @zanu_pf and @ZANUPF_Official have not been verified.
HumanIPO reported earlier today #ZimElections is a hot topic in southern Africa and is trending at number one in South Africa today.
Thus far various reports indicate the election process is proceeding without violence, but whether the elections are free and fair is debatable.
The people behind the @zanu_pf Twitter account claim to be able to track who voted for whom:

Furthermore, another tweet suggested South Africa is unstable and is being monitored by Zimbabwean agents. The tweet seems to have subsequently disappeared, but read: “Yes we are concerned by the instability in South Africa, our Central intelligence agents or monitoring SA.”
The @ZANUPF_Official account took a swipe at the Movement for Democratic Change-Tsvangirai (MDC-T) saying the party does not care for Zimbabweans, but rather, it suggested the MDC-T cared only about foreign interests.
Both accounts feature scores of tweets that may be perceived as offensive, especially via @zanu_pf, which placed Mugabe above “mere mortal loud mouths.”
