Facebook email mix-up causes outrage

Social networking site Facebook’s latest unified email and its features is causing changes to users’ address books sparking outrage among the hundreds of millions of users. The changes have caused email mix-up.

According to the users, the changes have almost been unnoticeable and they are losing crucial communication.

A large number of users have reported that the new email address that Facebook put on users last week is changing their address books as well as intercepting and losing colossal amounts of emails, says Violet Blue of Cnet.

The users claim contacts’ email addresses on the phones and other personal devices have been changed without their approval, and their email correspondence directed elsewhere and lost.

According to Adobe’s Rachel Luxemburg — on her personal blog — the failure is happening despite the fact that she rushed to replace the @Facebook email with her correct email address once she discovered the Facebook’s new changes.

When Facebook forced its millins of users in an @facebook account, commentaries on the Internet discussed the changes that had started in their contacts and address books outside Facebook.

Facebook changed users’ valid email addresses for @Facebook on their phones and computers without their consent.
