Samsung launches Galaxy S III in Lusaka

Samsung Electronics has launched Galaxy SIII in Zambia’s capital Lusaka.

Samsung Zambia Manager Chabala Kaunda said the smartphones would enable seamless and human centric mobile experience to Samsung’s customers in Zambia.

The 0.34-inch by 70.6-millimeter smartphone has an interchangeable battery. It has a 4.8-inch window that uses LCD Technology with excellent 8 megapixels resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S III also has 2G or 3G Internet connectivity and a microSD slot.

Kaunda said the smartphone allows powerful voice control, an important feature in communication.
Commenting on the launch, Samsung Electronics Africa’s chief operating officer George Ferreira said, products purchased from late June this year will have a warranty of two years.

“We want to reward our customers so that they may enjoy using our products,” he said.
Samsung Africa continues to provide the electronics services to customers and improving the living standards of people in developing countries through sponsoring of programmes.

The company provides sporting paraphernalia to support sports in developing countries. In 2012, Samsung signed a 3-year sponsorship deal for African Cup of Nations tournament.

Samsung Group is a South Korean company with headquarters in Samsung Town.
The company has been outstanding in information technology as reported in the 2011 revenue global revenue, and in 2009 as the largest IT producer beating Hewlett-Packard.
