Popular music streaming service Spotify is now available in the BlackBerry App World store. BlackBerry smartphone users can now play, discover, and share their favourite music tunes right from their devices.
With a global music library, Spotify is designed to be one of the best ways for lovers of music to have the world’s music collection at their fingertips.
With the music streaming service now available on Blackberry smartphones, users will be able to listen to their music tracks anywhere without restriction of storage space on their phone.
The app can be used alongside the BlackBerry Music Gateway to discover new music as well as play the music through their home stereo system.
The Spotify Blackberry app will be compatible with a range of smartphones running BlackBerry OS 5.0 and higher.
Users will be required to have Spotify Premium subscription to stream music on-demand from their catalogue. There’s also a non-premium 48-hour free trial directly from the app.
The Spotify service is currently available in 15 countries around the world.
It has however not been launched in any African country. When HumanIPO reached Blackberry for comments on the expected African releases, Blackberry said when the service is ready for launch in Africa, it will issue a joint press release.
