The Nigerian Communication Satellite Limited (NigComSat), has invested in iDirect Services, a move targeting the country’s fast paced broadband market.
iDirect Series 15100 Universal Satellite will help NigComSat to offer affordable Internet service across Nigeria .
Commenting on the investment, NigComSat’smanaging director engineer Timasaniyu Ahmed-Rufai said the high-speed Internet will improve on the country’s economy.
He added that the satellite network will offer broadband services that will meet different user needs as well as provide solutions for future connectivity challenges.
The fibre networks is set to pave way for rural dwellers to benefit from broadband connectivity and prosper economically and socially.
iDirect will support the process and come up with new strategies to target opportunities in the business and education sector.
The company offers services in hardware, software and services that supports the satellite communications platform and IP data that strengthen networking application for bandwidth, satellite frequency and location.
NigComSat, known for offering military and government customers Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) solutions, is a Nigeriancommunication satellite that offers information communication and technology (ICT) services.
