The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has released a report on eLearning, highlighting the trends that employees are adapting to.
The ACCA released a report named “The E-professional: EMBRACING LEARNING TECHNOLOGY”.
The report showed that more employees are becoming tech savvy and companies should be quick to adapt to this shift.
Joyce Njogu, the Business Relationship Manager are ACCA, warned that when employees come with their own tech devices at the work place, it could harm the document security of any company.
“These people [employees] come with their device and the debate now from ACCA is, if you allow people to come with their own device, how are you protecting your data, how are you managing to make sure data is kept safe,” she said in a press briefing.
“Employers are being advised that instead of them [employees] bringing their own device, buy them the devices and look for ways of managing how they spread information,” she added.
The report also shows that more employees are embracing eLearning as a way of gaining the necessary education. This mode helps employees learn while working.
The ACCA also reports that its changing its system to embrace the online technology.
“We are now going to 100 percent online transactions,” she said. This was for the sake of scalability, reaching more people, to employ efficiency, in its accountancy training courses.
Speaking at the same briefing, Andrew Lewela, Project Manager for BPOs at the ICT Board, said that Kenya is aiming to be among the top ten ICT hubs in the world.
