The popular app for managing Facebook and Twitter account feeds, Tweetdeck, which was bought by Twitter, has received new features expected to improve navigation by users.
On behalf of the Tweetdeck team, Richard Barley, product manager at Twitter, announced that Tweetdeck has new navigation features available on all Tweetdeck apps, including Web.tweetdeck.com.
One of the new features will make” browsing around Tweetdeck easier for users.” Columns will be arranged in a continuous row, allowing smooth navigation horizontally.
Also, managing of columns has been made easier by the introduction of the new “Columns” button which helps users arrange columns. With the column drop-down open, a user simply hovers over the “drag” icon to the right of the column name you wish to move, click and drag the column to its new position, then drop.
Lastly, a menu icon on every tweet will give users instant access to more tweet actions, like “Create link”, and user-related actions, like “Block” to block users. This makes it possible to report spam, add an account to a list, delete own tweets, and much more, without having to leave the main column view.
These are great new features for Facebook and Twitter feed management app as it fights for appeal against similar apps like HootSuite and TweetCast.
