Alcatel-Lucent has appointed a new chief financial and legal officer as its headquarters relocate to Paris, France.
Jean Raby, formerly employed as partner and managing director in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs, is to take over the new position at Alcatel at the start of September.
He will be expected to advise the company on corporate financial matters in a variety of sectors, including the telecom and information technology industries.
Michel Combes, chief executive officer (CEO) at Alcatel, said the appointment “bring[s] first class outside experience and fresh perspective that will enable us to better capitalise on the outstanding knowledge and skills already present across the Alcatel-Lucent group.”
Combes believes Raby’s wide financial knowledge will contribute significantly to the success of Alcatel-Lucent’s Shift Plan.
