Jacques du Toit has been confirmed the new Chief Executive at South Africa’s Vox Telecom effective from 01 January 2013, replacing a joint CEO partnership.
du Toit previously served as head at its subsidiary, Vox Orion.
Previous co-CEOs Douglas Reed and Angus MacRobert have already stepped down from their positions with MacRobert leaving the company entirely at the end of January 2013 to pursue his personal interests.
Reed will stay on at the South African telecommunications company as part of the executive team. He will continue to assist in driving strategy, special products and product development.
Reed said “This new position suits me down to the ground.
“The current unfavourable conditions in the telecommunications sector and economy at large work to our advantage because our competition is in the same environment and they do not have the advantage of such a competent and dedicated team.”
MacRobert also has shareholdings in other technology companies, namely Afrihost, Axxess, three6five network solutions and Wantitall.
