The growth of the African mobile telecom market is estimated at US$234 billion by 2020, proving to increase life quality on the continent.
A report recently released by Manifest Mind LLC predicts a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next seven years of 21.27 per cent.
Carol L Stimmel, founder of Manifest Mind, LLC, said: “Africa is a market which is largely misunderstood due to cultural and social issues. While African countries include half of the 10 fastest-growing economies in the world, it is a very challenging marketplace to penetrate.”
Mobile network operators are said to be the largest generators of revenue while mobile distributors, retailers, application developers and content providers will also earn well.
“Mobile technology is the key to this transformation,” Stimmel said, referring to the sustainable improvement of the environment and economy.
