HotSauce, a Nigerian digital and marketing agency, has partnered with US-based integrated telecommunications conglomerate East Coast Diversified Corporation (ECDC) to have Vir2o, the latter’s social media engagement platform, launched in Nigeria.
As exclusive country representatives for the brand Vir2o, HotSauce will aim to attract online Nigerian retailers and advertisers on to the platform as well as help them manage their social media presence.
“We are thrilled to have secured this partnership with HotSauce because of their stellar reputation in the Nigerian market,” said ECDC’s CEO Kayode Aladesuyi. “They were named the 2012 Digital Agency of the Year by Marketing World Awards and are inaugural sponsors of the Digital Marketing Conference & Exhibition in Africa.”
Aladesuyi showed confidence in the new partnership, saying HotSauce’s client list includes high profile brands like Samsung, Pepsi and The Gambia.
“Our research has shown the Nigerian market to be a highly appealing one for Vir2o,” said ECDC Business Development and Marketing Director Andrej Jeremic, adding that the local economy is booming and the Nigerian people are eager to have a social media network that really works for them.
“We expect Vir2o to take off quickly in this market with the help of the HotSauce team,” he said.
HotSauce’s COO Dayo Adefila exuded confidence that Vir2o was a game changer as a social engagement platform.
“Think of it as Social 3.0 for individuals and brands,” he commented.
Adefila added that the partnership would add exceptional appeal on interactive media such as social media.
“As one of the pioneer digital agencies in Africa to successfully utilize social networks for brand building and marketing, we are delighted with the Vir2o/HotSauce partnership and are committed to building Vir2o into a valuable engagement hub for Nigerians,” he explained.
