The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has completed the selection of meeting sites for 2013, adding Buenos Aires, Argentina to planned events in Beijing and Durban.
The board of ICANN approved the Argentinian capital as the location of ICANN’s 48th public meeting, to be held November 17-21, 2013. The board also approved Singapore and London and a yet to be named North American city for its 2014 meetings.
The organisation holds three public week-long meetings each calendar year in different regions of the globe.
Durban’s event is July 14-18, while the next one is in Beijing from April 7-11.
The meetings usually comprise more than 200 different sessions which are the focal point for individuals and representatives of the different ICANN stakeholder groups across the world. They use these sessions to introduce and discuss issues related to policies at ICANN.
Those who want to participate are permitted to attend in person or remotely. Meetings are open to everyone and registration is free. Click here for more information.
