Dimension Data, the specialist IT solutions and services provider, announced on Wednesday that Gartner, the IT research and advisory company, had positioned it in the “Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services (COPS) 2012 report”.
The “Magic Quadrant” examined 21 vendors of IT services for business communications systems worldwide, employing two main evaluation criteria, namely ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision’.
Brett Dawson, Dimension Data Chief Executive, said: “We are extremely proud to be positioned in the Magic Quadrant and be recognised for our ability to execute and completeness of vision.
“While providing our clients with quality services has been Dimension Data’s core business for decades, we constantly strive to further build our foundation and grow our leadership position in the ICT services market. In the last 12 months alone, Dimension Data made a number of strategic investments.”
In 2012, Dimension Data bought telecom expense management company, Xigo, to “accelerate its offerings in the managed communications space” and Dawson said after launching their Cloud Solutions Business Unit they had doubled cloud revenues as well as increasing their client base to more than 2,000.
