The challenges faced by owners of electronic businesses in Nigeria will be discussed by stakeholders from various industries and sectors at the e-Business Fair organised by Connect Nigeria, an information search portal.
Emeka Okafor, chief executive officer (CEO) of Connect Nigeria, said the goal of the fair is to raise public awareness on e-business and educate members of the public on the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Through the fair, he said participants would be exposed to the numerous e-business opportunities available in Nigeria.
“With the growth of broadband internet technology in Nigeria and the emergence of the cashless policy, it is evident that e-commerce will play a crucial role in Nigeria’s economy in the coming years,” Okafor said.
“As an organisation that is built on promoting businesses and information access in Nigeria, we feel obliged to convene this event with the intent to promote Nigeria’s place in the global economy.”
The theme of the fair is “e-Business and the Growth of Your Enterprise”, with various organisations presenting their e-commerce projects to participants.
