South African business to business (B2B) cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider Sovereignty Technology has launched its second local e-commerce venture, making appliance purchase available online.
Following its first e-commerce offering, interior item store smacs.co.za, investment from Sovereignty Capital has enabled further releases as part of a planned series.
ApplianceOnline.co.za aims to be the largest web-based appliance store with the widest selection of appliances such as dishwashers and freezers for South African doorstep delivery.
Apart from listing purchasable appliances, the new e-commerce venture also offers helpful tips, live support, reviews and buying guides to visitors.
Buyers can also share benefits such as gift registries and credit facilities to adopt offerings available at offline stores.
Group payments will also be made possible in the future, enabling friends to buy an appliance together.
Built locally in Johannesburg, the store has developed personalities such as Ouma Oven and Daisy Dishwasher to complement its easy-to-use website navigation.
