Airtel Kenya has launched its ‘Good Morning’ free internet offer that will see all prepaid customers enjoy free internet access on their phones between 6am and 8am.
The daily service allows 80MB of free data after a subscriber has text ‘Good Morning’ to 544.
“This initiative is in response to insights from our customer surveys and we have responded by offering them greater freedom and access to superior quality communication and service on our network,” said Shivan Bhargava, Airtel Kenya managing director.
“We will make it easier and faster for our customers to access the internet every day.”
The mobile service provider intends to have more offers for its clients in the near future for them to have convenient communication and reliable network access.
It will also be available for Facebook users on m.facebook.com.
The offer is seen as competition for Safaricom’s ‘Free Matatu WiFi’ initiative launched not long ago.
The new promotion targets the early morning population of people trying to get to their places of work as well as schools stuck in the rush hour traffic.
Airtel aims to cater for a larger population countrywide with the morning offer and not only commuters during the rush hour.
