Nigerians are being offered another Wi-Fi option after telecommunications provider Globacom announced a new device which can be used at home, in the office or on the move.
The device will come with a free SIM card, free 1GB data for the first month and another free 1GB for the next six months based on continuous subscription. It also allows various gadgets to browse, send e-mails and connect to social networks concurrently via Wi-Fi.
Niyi Olukoya, Marketing Director of Globacom Nigeria, said: “We are aware of the increasing appetite for Internet connections. Consumers now want to connect on multiple devices like iPad, the Smartphone, laptop, PSPs, iTouches and such other devices, everywhere and at all times.
“There is a demand for connectivity by all members of the home, thereby making the Glo Wi-Fi the ultimate internet solution for consumers.”
He also described the device as mini-sized with a long battery life span. He said the device is aimed at absorbing the massive demand for internet connectivity in Nigeria.
