Facebook users across the world have today complained of a service outage, with users unable to “like”, post or comment on posts since this morning.
Users trying to post on the website have been met with an error message, requesting users to “try again in a few minutes”.
“We’re aware that some people are having problems posting to Facebook and we’re looking into it,” Facebook told HumanIPO, although no information has yet been released as to how extensive the outage has been.
Frustrated users have turned to Twitter to vent their annoyance and network with friends and other foiled Facebook users, with #facebookdown gaining traction throughout the day.

Meanwhile, in addition to the reputation impact – and users flocking to rival network Twitter for the day – some Tweeters have pointed to the financial implications for Facebook of downtime.
