Dell has launched its range of XPS hybrid devices running Windows 8 in Nigeria, including the much-awaited XPS 12 convertible Ultrabook.
Revealed at a product launch this week, Dell in conjunction with Microsoft and Intel Nigeria has made numerous devices from its XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, OptiPlex and Precision brands available to consumers for purchase with the option of running the Windows 8 operating system.
“Dell’s new systems deliver on the promise of new advances in computing, a leading-edge and intuitive touch experience, the security and manageability required by today’s always-on pace and the design aesthetic, style and precision workmanship customers demand,” said Annie Odo-Effiong, Dell’s Client Product Marketing Manager for the Anglophone East and West Africa regions.
Nigerians can now pre-order the XPS 12 convertible touch-screen Ultrabook, which was launched globally in October 2012. The new device is expected to change the PC landscape, by answering the evolving needs of business and personal customers and eliminating the need for multiple devices – the new device offering a complete experience.
The 12 inch Ultrabook’s main innovative feature comes in the touch-screen, which swivels 180 degrees. It is thus capable of acting as a tablet, as well as a full laptop when the screen is placed vertically.
