South African software specialists Softline has announced a re-branding exercise that will see it change its name to Sage, bringing it into line with British-based parent company The Sage Group.
The company is known for the development and marketing of the popular Pastel and Accpac product ranges.
The UK based management software company acquired Softline in 2003, but kept the Softline name because it had strong brand recognition. At the time Sage was also associated with an insurance company.
Sage has a wide range of solutions in its portfolio that range from accounting, payroll and HR to retail software solutions, including well-known brands like Pastel, Accpac and Netcash.
The company has said the re-branding and name change will take effect as of Friday, February 1.
