MultiChoice is launching four new channels on DStv in South Africa in partnership with Chello Zone.
From November 12, MultiChoice is adding CBS Action, CBS Drama, children’s channel JimJam and Hollywood movie channel MGM.
The extra channels have been possible after MultiChoice teamed up with international broadcaster Chello Zone and Louise Cottrell, vice president for affiliate sales at Chello Zone, said: “Our growing presence in South Africa is an important move, both for Chello Zone and our partnership channels with CBS.
“As the first major deal for the CBS channels since their successful rebrand it is a crucial time in their development, and we are thrilled to be working with the country’s leading platform MultiChoice.”
Chello Zone distributes channels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and reaches more than 120 countries with 13 broadcast brands.
Customers on the DStv Family, Compact, Extra and Premium packages will get CBS Action, CBS Drama and JimJam, while MGM will be available on DStv Access, rather than Premium.
