Alan Knott-Craig Sr, executive board member and former CEO of Cell C.
Alan Knott-Craig Sr, chief executive officer (CEO) of South Africa’s third mobile operator Cell C, has suffered a “minor stroke”.
The network released a statement last night (Monday) confirming he was being treated in hospital and Jose Dos Santos, Cell C’s chief commercial officer, would step in until Knott-Craig returns to work.
“The Board and staff wish Alan a speedy recovery,” Cell C said.
“No further information can be provided at this stage and we kindly ask that his privacy be respected at this time.”
Knott-Craig has previously suffered heart attacks while working as Vodacom’s CEO, but Cell C said they expect him to make a “full recovery”.
