Airtel Tanzania has partnered with Manchester United in a promotion called ‘Mimi Ni Bingwa’ (I’m a champion) that will enable its customers to watch live matches at the club’s stadium, Old Trafford.
The mobile service provider plans to reward its customers with more than TZS500 million (US$511,000) worth of prizes in the commitment to partner with the global brand.
Airtel customers have to send ‘BINGWA’ to 15656 and answer questions to increase winning opportunities at TZS350 per text message.
Sunil Calaso, managing director at Airtel Tanzania, said: “Airtel Tanzania today announces this big partnership that is set to give our loyal and passionate customers new experience to watch Manchester United matches live at Old Trafford.”
Calaso said the partnership would play a pivotal role in the country’s sports development.
“We are happy to launch this new partnership and we believe this will be a brilliant platform to connect with the club’s audience here in Tanzania,” he said.
