Dubbed a “leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions”, Kaspersky Lab have been named as a leader in the market of endpoint security solutions by Forrester Research.
The information security company was placed among four “leaders” in the The Forrester Wave: Endpoint Security, Q1 2013 report.
Eugene Kaspersky, Chief Executive and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, said: “Every one of us faces the problem of choice every day. The same goes for company managers too – just in the business area. And since our recent research shows that half of all CEOs and CIOs consider cyber-threats to be the top business risk of all, it’s clear that choices made with regard to security software are vital for business.
Forrester’s criteria for picking nine top providers was based on the size of enterprise customers (must be no less than 1,500), a broad endpoint security portfolio including anti-malware, host-based firewall/IPS and patch management, and convergence strategies for endpoint security and management.
Kaspersky added: “Forrester’s Wave ratings help managers make the right decisions when choosing optimal solutions for protecting their businesses against all types of cyber threats. We’re always striving to maintain the provision of superior protection for our clients, and we feel that this has been acknowledged by Forrester in this report and we are very pleased that we’ve been included in the ‘Leaders’ group in this rating.”
