Nokia Lumia owners whose smartphones run on the Windows Phone 7.5 platform are set to get the the 7.8 software update as the Finnish phone giant and Microsoft begin the rollout.
Users are set to benefit from new personalisation features that include resizable tiles, new lock screen options, increased language support and more theme colours.
They can also expect to see update notifications to appear on their Nokia Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 during February.
The update notification message will appear on the smartphone “encouraging users to get the update, and they will simply need to connect their phone to their computer via Zune for PC, or the Windows Phone app for Mac – and follow the onscreen instructions”.
Other notable features included with the update are Internet sharing, Bluetooth sharing and imaging enhancements.
