Comparative testing by Dennis Technology Labs has found Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows is the best corporate solutions on the market for controlling applications.
The report comes days after HumanIPO reported an update to the anti-virus software was blocking thousands of computers running Windows XP from accessing the Internet.
The testing by Dennis Technology Labs involved assessing “elements of corporate security as the ability to manage the launch of potentially dangerous third-party software as well as the time spent by employees on non-work activities”.
Vladimir Zapolyansky, Head of Technology Positioning at Kaspersky Lab, said: “Application management plays a major role in ensuring a company’s security, and today many vendors offer the relevant technologies integrated in their corporate products.
“Choosing a solution that best suits your business needs is by no means an easy task, which is why the results of the latest tests conducted by Dennis Technology Labs may be of particular interest to those companies whose priorities include security against APT attacks and the management of non-work-related applications.”
Kaspersky’s product achieved a score of 75 percent in the first group of tests, and 67 percent in the second. This resulted in an overall average score of 71 percent which was close to double that of the other products in the test.
Summarising the tests and results, Dennis Technology Labs stated: “Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows was the most functional solution for application management and, in particular, noted its user-friendliness”.
