Vodafone has become Ghana’s first network provider to launch the BlackBerry Z10 with a 1.5GB data volume.
HumanIPO reported in January on the launch of the two new BlackBerry devices and Vodafone have been quick to make it available to the Ghanaian market.
“We know our customers are driven by innovation and like to set the pace for others to follow,” said Uche Ofodile, Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone Ghana. “They expected Vodafone to be the first to deliver one of the most sought after handsets in the world and we have not disappointed. I have seen the handset and can say that our customers will not be disappointed.”
The company described BlackBerry’s latest product as a complete overhaul of BlackBerry’s traditional design with the introduction of novel features, user-friendly features.
Users will not necessarily require an active BlackBerry subscription before they can fully enjoy the various features on the device.
BB Z10’s BlackBerry Messenger service in addition to regular features also supports video calling and screen share which enables users to share their handset screen and camera view with friends.
Vodafone’s statement also described other unique features of the device such as the Blackberry Hub.
“Another innovative feature is the ‘BlackBerry Hub’, where users can customize their handset to their favorite applications on one page and the enhanced security features also makes the ‘BB Z10′ an invaluable business tool,” Ofodile said.
