Google SA to host first Google Engage Academy for digital agencies in Johannesburg

Google South Africa will hold the first Google Engage Academy in Johannesburg on March 7, offering free training to help South African digital agencies master the art of online marketing.

The Engage Academy will be a free full-day training seminar and, according to Google South Africa, will highlight the use of online marketing tools for digital agencies.

Only members of the Google Engage for Agencies are welcome to attend.

Google Engage for Agencies is a support programme for advertising agencies, webmasters, search engine marketers and anyone who provides web services to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

Engage members receive free access to educational resources, training workshops, telephone support and promotional vouchers to help their customers get started with online advertising.

Brett St Clair, Google’s Head of New Products for Africa, will open The Engage Academy with a keynote on reaching consumers in a multi-device world.

More than 1,000 agencies have registered with Google Engage for South African Agencies and have already received assistance in developing their clients’ online advertising campaigns.

The Google Engage Academy will take place on March 7 at Montecasino in Fourways, Johannesburg.
