South African IT consulting film Business Connexion (BCX) has acquired Nigerian imaging solutions company Panabiz, hoping the expansion will gear the company towards significant growth in the region.
“Being a well-established distributor of Canon in the region, coupled with existing Managed Print Service (MPS) and Annual Maintenance Service (AMS) contracts, made Panabiz an attractive proposition,” Ian McAlpine, managing director of BCX Nigeria, told HumanIPO.
McAlpine said the integration of the business into the operation in Nigeria is aligned with BCX’s digital imaging strategy.
“The nature of the revenue derived from the MPS and AMS contracts lays a solid foundation of annuity revenue that will sustain the growth in the business. Business Connexion Nigeria has invested in and made great strides in launching services, like Cloud, that are geared to significantly increase the sustainable annuity revenue base and assist in de-risking any no-annuity business,” he said.
HumanIPO reported this morning BCX had announced a reorganisation of its leadership to “advance the Group’s positioning as a global player”.
“Our new model supports collaboration, builds a culture of continuous improvement and a standard approach to Business Performance Management, thereby creating a more agile and efficient business,” said Vanessa Olver, Business Connexion deputy chief executive officer (CEO).
