Samsung Electronics West Africa has announced the Galaxy S5, Gear Fit and Gear 2 will be officially introduced into the Nigerian market on April 16.
Brovo Kim, Samsung’s managing director for West Africa, said the devices will be introduced to the West African market at a Galaxy S5 Premier event, with the company already accepting orders for the flagship device.
“Customers who take advantage of the pre-order campaign for the smartphone are entitled to a free Galaxy S5 S-View cover. We will also be having a promotion on the first day of sale of the device for our consumers, where individuals who buy the Galaxy S5 stand a chance of winning a free Galaxy Gear Fit,” he said.
HumanIPO reported last month Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5 handset, saying the device is designed based on “what matters most” to consumers.
The device is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and has features such as an upgraded 16-megapixel camera, new fitness tracking features, a heart rate scanner, and dust and water resistance.
Other features include an integrated fingerprint scanner at the home button, thus providing consumers with a safe, biometric screen-locking feature.
