KeepCalling.net opens up 12 mobile recharge operators in Africa

KeepCalling has launched its online recharge portal in collaboration with mobile operators from Benin, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Somalia, Morocco, Tanzania, Ivory Coast and Uganda.

This means users in these countries who are connected to the selected mobile phone operators will be able to send credit to their friends and family easily.

Mobile credit can now be sent to Moov in Benin and Ivory Coast, Onatel in Burkina Faso, Orange in Central African Republic and Kenya, Nationlink Somalia, Meditel Morocco, Tigo Tanzania and Warid Uganda.

The company said it had launched mobile recharge operators across the world, though Africa was a priority.

“Africa received most of the attention. 12 out of the 17 newly added mobile recharge operators on KeepCalling.net are present here,” thecompany said.

South Africa will have four mobile recharge operators listed on the platform, namely 8TA, CellC, MTN and Vodacom.

The company said that they aim “to integrate superior customer service, maintain the highest standards of technology and a limited, but well established range of products at affordable rates”.

There has been infiltration of online recharge portals in Africa. In late January, international recharge portalSwissClear Global launched its services in Egypt, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Earlier this month,another portal opened up its operations in Nigeria, to capture the West African market.

Estel Technologies offers mobile banking from the top Nigerian telecom companies apart from acting as a recharge portal.
