Working for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria is at the core of Nigeria’s largest local search engine VConnect’s operations since it launched, general manager Deepankar Rustagi told HumanIPO.
Rustagi said the company is always introducing new products and announcing new partnerships that would empower SMEs.
On the latest partnership with Stanbic IBTC Bank, he said it is a way of offering SMEs on VConnect better value banking solutions from the bank. In return, he said the company would be offering the bank’s SME customers better value online marketing services.
“We feel online visibility is the right of every business, especially in our territory, in Nigeria, where we feel every business is trying to move forward and to make impacts,” he said.
“At one Mobile Monday event, I met Akintunde Oyebode, Stanbic IBTC SME Head, and during our discussion about SME empowerment this idea of VConnect-SIBTC partnership cropped up.”
Earlier this year, VConnect launched Mobiz.ng, a platform it said is aimed at deepening online business in Nigeria by allowing small business owners to sell their goods and services at afforsbale costs.
