South African information technology firm Dimension Data has announced its acquisition of 100 per cent of United States (US)-based technology solutions providers Nexus for an undisclosed sum.
Nexus services enterprises, mid-sized business and public sector clients, as well as the education, retail, hospitality and healthcare industries.
The purchase is the second major acquisition by Dimension Data this year, after HumanIPO reported in February the acquisition of certain subsidiaries of European business solutions firm NextiraOne.
The acquisition expands Dimension Data’s operations in the US by 40 per cent, particularly in the South, Southwest and Southeast regions of the country.

Dimension Data America CEO Mark Slaga has welcomed the 657 Nexus employees to the company, saying the assets of both companies position Dimension Data as one of the leaders in the provision and ICT solutions and services in the US.
