Ali Famamwy, Microsoft senior vice president in charge of Corporate Business, will take part in the official opening of Hope City, a multi-million dollar ICT Park, today.
The park will have housing, ICT, recreation and business resources. He is visiting Ghana in honour of Rlg Communications’ invitation.
The goal of setting up the ICT Park is to create more than 50,000 jobs directly and indirectly.
Speaking on Famamwy’s visit Roland Agambire, founder and chief executive of communications manufacturer Rlg, said it is an affirmation of the trust the company is gaining from the international community.
“This visit by a very senior official of Microsoft excites us because its reaffirms the growing trust and confidence the international community is reposing in us,” he said.
Famamwy also presides over Microsoft Middle East and Africa (MEA), coordinating the company’s business strategies and operations in the region which is one of Microsoft’s fastest growing and dynamic markets.
He started with Microsoft Middle East and Africa in 2002 as the region’s Regional Director for sales, marketing and services when the company’s operations in the region were just consolidated.
