HTC phone sales fell by almost 44 per cent to US$384 million in February compared to the same period in 2012, despite releasing its latest device the HTC One.
HumanIPO reported last month the Taiwanese phone firm was expected to announce a 90 percent fall in profits for the last three months of 2012.
The poor sales are its lowest since January 2010 and reinforce what chief executive Peter Cho has previously said, that competition is too strong.
Research analysts Gartner’s figures for the final quarter of 2012 show HTC had just a global share of 1.8 per cent with sales over 32 million units.
