South African developed global shopping app Found Shopping launched on iOS last week at the Design Indaba, at Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), to make users aware of how they can save.
Found Shopping allows users to spot and share deals around them and also keep track of how much they are saving with discount bargains.
Faheem Kajee, co-founder of Found Shopping, told HumanIPO: “It’s the best way to share and discover great deals around you.”
Through three different feed features, users can view other others’ finds, share their own and also post the results on social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.
Displayed finds are also adjusted according to the users’ likes to guide effective deal recommendation.
“Finding a great deal is really an amazing experience. We think of deals as these little easter eggs that are hiding in shopping malls and restaurants and all these places.”
Currently in Beta phase on the Android platform, the smartphone-focused app is available for free through the Apple app store and GooglePlay.
“What makes it different is the fact that there’s no app out there that lets you share deals with people around you that is entirely location-based and that has the price of every single item,” Kajee explained.
Although focused on the South African market in Cape Town at present stage, the app is globally adjustable with regards to location and currency.
The iOS app attracted favourable reactions at the Design Indaba, known as Africa’s biggest design expo, Kajee said.
Found Shopping is developed by co-founders Kajee and Lawrence Webley.
