The latest incarnation of popular video game SimCity had sales briefly suspended by Amazon because of “issues” with the product.
SimCity has long been a stand alone game, but in the new version by EA, launched on March 5, an online element was added.
The requirement to be online however has led to some players having to wait 30 minutes or more to play and one star rating reviews on Amazon, reported the BBC.
SimCity’s senior producer Kip Katsarelis, said: “What we saw was that players were having such a good time they didn’t want to leave the game, which kept our servers packed and made it difficult for new players to join.”
Web sales were stopped on March 7 only for a few hours, but it has put a warning note on the product.
