Liberian government adopts DOCTRAK, no more faxing

DOCTRAK, a new online document tracking system, has been launched by Liberia’s Ministry of Finance with the goal of giving staff total accountability for the tracking of documents.

DOCTRAK is a web-based tracking system which is supposed to streamline the completion and updating of various types of documents.

Staff are alerted via their mobile phones to notify them of the receipt of their documents as soon as such document is logged into DOCTRAK.

Sidiki Trawallay, The ministry’s director in charge of media services, said DOCTRAK has
totally eliminated fax services and has drastically reduced personnel movement which is unprecedented when in search of documents.

Jordan Sulonteh, Liberia’s deputy finance minister for administration, has encouraged staff of the ministry to maximise the system which he said was a huge investment by the government.

He added that the staff should get well trained in the use of DOCTRAK which is essential for the continued usage of the tracking system.

According to him, the launching of DOCTRAK in the finance ministry is an important aspect of its ongoing modernisation process.
