MediaMax owned K24, an all Kenyan news channel, is set to rebrand its look and content in a bid to increase its market share in the region.

The station, which is owned by the president-elect Uhuru Kenyatta, is set to unveil new anchors and programmes this evening. It has poached anchors from top flight stations such as Chinese network CCTV.

The new anchors and technicians have been readied for the re-launch. Local programmes have also been given a facelift with new ones to be debuted soon.

K24 has also invested in local programming including a new soap titled Maisha.

This new change comes barely a year after the station unveiled another new look. Mid last year, the station had a facelift including new logo to match to the ongoing trends.

K24 is known for its local news and features coverage. It showcases news from Kenya and programs aimed at the local viewership.

According to the quarterly Kenya Advertising Research Foundation report, K24 is far behind the competition at number ten, with an index of 3.1 way behind Citizen Television with 14.3 index as the most watched television station in Kenya.
