Dimension Data celebrates a successful 20 years of doing business in Botswana

One of South Africa’s great ICT exports, Dimension Data, celebrated 20 years years of operations in Botswana yesterday.

According to the now global ICT services provider, their operations in Botswana have grown significantly since its entry into the market in 1993.

Rakesh Parbhoo, managing executive of Dimension Data Africa, said: “We thank our clients and staff as they are the reason Dimension Data has succeeded in Botswana. The past twenty years have been rewarding and we are delighted with the progress we’ve made in establishing and building strong client partnerships”

The company’s operations in Botswana have grown from a team of 12 to more than 60 full time employees with more than 87 per cent of them Botswana nationals.

Duncan Pie, managing director of Dimension Data Botswana, said: “Our clients are at the centre of everything we do. Whether they are a global or local operation, our clients has an ability to work with clients on a local as well as global basis.”

The company has both private and public sector clients in the southern African country. The current main focus is on cloud computing.

Pie added: “The company is committed to Botswana and to expanding its service delivery infrastructure and capabilities to create a more consistent and seamless client experience.”
