New Nairobi Senator Mike ‘Sonko’ Mbuvi has unveiled a new website aimed at showcasing his work and what he is about to do for the city.
The Nairobi Senate site has news about recent political comments, projects around Nairobi and the senator’s plans for the city.
“We will soon invite views and proposals from Nairobians and any implementable project will be initiated by my office, these projects will be financed by a youth kitty fund that I will soon create,” the site says.
“All Nairobians will have access to this kitty fund and will also be able to check out on the projects that are to take place [taking place], how revenue will be [is being] allocated to these projects and how youth can apply to be a part of these projects.”
During the recent elections, technology and social media featured heavily in campaigns, with the major protagonists, Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) and the eventually victorious Jubilee Coalition using technology to their advantage.
