HTC has reported a record low quarterly profit following the delay of the launch of its flagship smartphone.
HumanIPO reported last month HTC had been forced to delay the launch of its much anticipated HTC One smartphone due to component shortages.
The phone is now set for launch before the end of April, around the same time as the Samsung Galaxy S4.
HTC announced unaudited net profit of T$85 million (US$2.85 million) for the first quarter, down from T$1 billion in the previous quarter and T$10.9 billion in the same period last year. The profits are the lowest since the company started reporting its profits almost a decade ago.
