Telkom Business has launched an aggressive package offering colleagues unlimited calls, unlimited SMS and access to a nationwide network of Wi-Fi hotspots.
Confidence in the part state-owned network operator is currently low after they announced yesterday (Monday) shareholders could expect to see at least a 20 per cent year-on-year drop in headline earnings per share (HEPS).
The new proposals aimed at “businesses of all sizes” will allow colleagues to call each other’s mobile as much as they want without additional costs and make unlimited calls to one landline. There are also options for unlimited SMSs.
Megan Nicholas, acting managing executive for mobile solutions at Telkom Business, said: “The new plans are in line with Telkom Business’ strategy to disrupt the mobile voice market and bring high quality, unique and affordable communications solutions to businesses.”
The cost of the new Smart Plan deals vary between mobile devices and different packages are available as to how much each customer wants.
On the BlackBerry Z10, for example, they range from ZAR379 (US$42) per month to ZAR899 (US$100) per month. All are 24 month contracts.
Nicholas added Telkom Business will be launching further “disruptive products” although no further information was given.
Telkom had already launched their ZAR1,199 (US$133) per month unlimited all-net tariff.
