iBurst subscribers decry connectivity problems

iBurst subscribers are taking to social media to complain about loss of connectivity, with the company saying they were dealing with high call volumes.

Twitter has been buzzing with iBurst customers seeking clarification on the problems and complaining they cannot get through to representatives via phone.

It is not yet clear what is causing the network problems, but the company said it was facing large numbers of calls at its call centre.

HumanIPO reported last week on downtime at iBurst caused by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) raiding on parent company Wireless Business Solutions (WBS) as part of an ongoing dispute over allegedly unpaid licence fees.
