South African startup advertising platform Ad Dynano is expecting to enter the Kenyan market next and expand its operations in Nigeria as it continues its focus on emerging markets.
Ad Dynamo was one of six winners at last week’s South Africa round of the U-Start competition and will be heading to Milan next month to pitch to European investors.
The platform, which connects online publishers to advertisers, was established in 2009 and serves more than one billion ads per month across more than 40,000 websites.
Sean Riley, Ad Dynamo chief executive, said: “Mobile is key for us in Africa, and we have managed to ramp up that offering significantly in the last six months. We’re expanding our Nigeria office and planning our entry into Kenya, so we are rapidly rolling out into these markets.”
The service is fully integrated with Facebook and Twitter and the company currently has offices in South Africa, Nigeria, the UK, Spain, Netherlands and Brazil.
Having won a ticket to Milan at the U-Start competition last week, Riley is hopeful they can make the most of the opportunity in front of more potential investors.
He added: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to present Ad Dynamo to a high-profile, international audience of investors on a stage like the BLOOM conference.”
“What is more valuable than winning the prize at the event is the exposure and opportunity to showcase ourselves to investors.”
