The Scale Conference convened today at the Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town, bringing together experts to discuss and share innovations and solutions to the problems of running a company on the internet.
The presentations cover topics pertaining methodologies and the culture utilised to build strong foundations.
Day one (Thursday 18) features presentations by Dale Humby, chief technical officer of the Cape Town based startup Nomanini, Neil Blakey-Milber, production engineer for Facebook’s core systems team, and Patrick Turley, lead consultant and software developer from ThoughtWorks, among others.
Day two (Friday 19) will include presentations by Peter Lockhart of 2go, Mike Jones of Western Cape Lab, and Simon Ratcliffe, who works in scientific computing for the MeerKAT Radio Telescope.
