Microsoft says its newest tablet, Surface, will be launching in South Africa, as it enters the market beyond PCs.
Tweeting at HumanIPO, Mteto Nyati, managing director at Microsoft South Africa, said: “There are plans to bring Surface to SA – this is what I can share at this stage.”
Although it is rumoured Surface is anticipated during the second semester of 2013, Nyati declined to confirm any dates.
Surface’s debut launch occurred in October 2012 in the United States (US).
A mini-tablet series from Microsoft is also expected, following reports of the development underway.
