Procter & Gamble (P&G) has launched a new website through its P&G Connect+Develop programme which will link innovators directly to top business leaders.
The website, which the company says was developed in collaboration with external partners in the spirit of Connect+Develop, brings in new innovative technology and will allow users to enter submissions about their business ideas.
P&G adds the site will enable companies to review needs more quickly and efficiently “for strategic fit or scalability across the business”.
The company’s P&G’s communications manager Salome Mwaura says the development is part of the company’s strategy to deliver innovations.
“As P&G enters its Second Decade of Connect+Develop, our focus is on strengthening areas of our open innovation work to deliver more discontinuous, breakthrough innovations. Part of that work means making connections both easier and more effective,” said Salome.
The website acts as P&G’s ‘open front door to the world’, allowing innovators to share their innovations with the company and receiving about 20 submissions daily.
“P&G’s strategy involves unrelenting focus on innovation. Connect +Develop is how P&G innovates by partnering with the best innovators everywhere. We encourage our consumers here in Kenya and throughout the East African region to log on and share their innovations,” said Mwaura.
