Windows Iconia SA arrival, internet included

The Windows Iconica W510 and W700 models have been launched in South Africa, including internet.

Already available for online purchase, the new range of Windows tablets aims to cater for business and entertainment through its multiple features.

South Africans also obtain AcerCloud internet services as included with an Iconia buy.

AcerCloud enables digital content sharing which ensures unrestricted, multiple device access.

The W510 operates on a Windows 8 platform, making it PC-adaptable with a choice between touch and type mode.

Manufactured by Acer, the W510 has a battery life of 181 hours and its keyboard can rotate 295°, which makes multimedia sharing with a crowd easy on its 25.6cm display.

The W700 is less of a lightweight model, but offers a wider display of 29.4cm and 64GB onboard memory and 4GB in random access memory (RAM).

The difference in processors is another discrepancy between the two versions with the W510 running on an Intel Atom processor and the W700 on an Intel Core i5.

Iconia W700 and W150 tablets are for sale at ZAR10,999 (US$899) and ZAR9,500 (US$699) respectively.

HumanIPO reported earlier this month on Windows’ billion dollar sale success.
