Third annual Digital Services Africa conference to take place in June

The third annual Digital Services Africa (DSA) conference is set for June 25 and 26 and will take place in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The Digital Services Africa conference is described as a “unique opportunity to meet the who’s who of the African Digital ecosystem”.

The conference’s intention is to “serve the development needs of African operators to extend and expand their digital offering”.

This is because Africa’s telecommunications market is said to be maturing.

“Telecoms operators have access to higher capacity which, combined with new technologies, enable them to deliver more high-value services. In order to make the most of this potential, they have to build partnerships with content owners, developers, aggregators and solutions suppliers, and develop new business models,” reads the DSA website.

The two day conference has a new focus for this years edition, including how to seize opportunities within digital services.

The conference will cover digital music where labels, operators, distributors and aggregators will talk about distributing and monetising music through digital formats on the African continent.

It will also feature new speakers from large corporations and startups, an innovative keynote, new workshops and talks on mobile money.

Speakers will include the likes of software developers, directors, CEO’s, CTO’s, analysts and other experts from companies such as Google, Informa, iRoking, 2go and the Orange group.
